Walls, floor and ceiling
Backer board, a waterproof membrane, and tile or stone. Ceilings slope at least two inches per foot, and the floor falls to a linear or center drain.
Benches
Built-in tiled benches or folding teak seats, sloped slightly so water drains off.
Doors and glass
Full-height glass with a vapor seal, often with an operable transom so the room can dry out after use.
Controls, lighting and aroma
