Sauna Builder in Silverado
Repairs, primary-suite rooms and pool deck saunas for Silverado homes near the resort, Atlas Peak Road and Monticello Road.
Rebuild country around Atlas Peak
The 2017 Atlas Fire burned many homes along Atlas Peak Road and Soda Canyon Road, and rebuilds there follow the wildland-urban interface rules in Chapter 7A of the California Building Code. When an owner left space for a sauna in the new plan, we tie into the new electrical service and match the ember-resistant details already on the house.
Hillside sites have steep drives and sloped pads, so we often pier the foundation and frame a level platform. Condos and townhomes near the resort have the opposite problem: almost no outdoor space, and HOA rules about exterior changes. For those owners an interior room or a steam shower is usually the practical choice.
Most addresses sit on unincorporated land under Napa County PBES, while some near town fall to the City of Napa Building Division. Repairs take a day or two, an interior room four to six weeks and a new outdoor build ten to fourteen.

Silverado jobs we see most
Reviving an older room
Homes around the golf courses sometimes came with saunas installed decades ago, with original heaters and dried benches. New elements and a modern control often fix the room. See heater and control repairs.
A room off the primary bath
Condo and townhome owners often fit a small room or a steam shower into the primary suite. Read about a sealed steam enclosure in the bath.
A sauna by the pool
Custom homes on the hills often have a pool deck with power and a shower nearby, which leaves an easy spot for a hot soak in winter. More on a cedar tub set beside the pool.
Silverado ballpark figures
A Silverado repair visit can be as small as a new temperature probe, a few hundred dollars, or as large as a heater swap plus new benches in the low thousands. Suite rooms run eight to twenty-five thousand, and pool deck saunas fifteen to forty-five.
- Heater, control and sensor replacement on older rooms
- Waterproofing and a steam generator for suite builds
- Pier foundations on sloped hillside pads
- Ember-resistant details to match a rebuilt house
Fairway condos and HOA review
Condos along the fairways usually have an HOA that controls exterior changes and sometimes interior electrical work. We ask for the rules and the association’s approval process before we design. Golf course homes also face the fairway, so we plan glass and screening that keep the bench private. A pool deck sauna near the fairway also needs drainage worked out, since splashed pool water and rinse water should leave the deck without pooling at the cabin wall.
Summers on the hills are hot and dry. Owners want the room to keep working through PG&E shutoffs, and a manual interlock on the panel lets a portable generator carry the controls and lighting. Check with the county about fire rules on your parcel before choosing a wood stove.
Common Silverado questions
Is it worth repairing a decades-old sauna?
Often, if the framing and lining are sound. A new heater, control and bench boards cost far less than a rebuild. We inspect before quoting.
Can a steam shower go in a condo bathroom?
Usually, with HOA approval, a sealed ceiling, a vapor-tight door and a generator in a nearby cabinet. We check the building’s rules first.
Our rebuilt house has a new panel. Is there room for a sauna circuit?
Often there is, since rebuilds usually get a modern 200-amp service or larger. We run a load calculation that counts the heat pump, an EV charger and any pool equipment before settling on a heater. If the panel is tight, a load device can hold the sauna off while the car charges.
